Who I Am!

Graduating from the University of Findlay with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Biology. Experience working in a small animal clinic and with large animals. Participate in varying volunteer opportunities as well as undergraduate research. Looking to start a career in animal science.

· Manage canines and felines while they are boarding or post-surgery

· Assist in surgeries and appointments, discuss treatments with clients, and refill medications

· Socialize with the animals, exercise them outside, feed them, and administer medications

· Communicate with a wide variety of clients in person and by phone

· Work in a reproductive cell biology laboratory studying the effects of oxidative stress and epigenetic modifications to the oocyte during maturation

· Qualified in obtaining oocytes from pig ovaries using follicular aspiration and in vitrotechniques including maturation, in vitro fertilization, and embryo culture

· Excel in manipulating oocytes through mouth pipetting for the purposes of evaluating cytoplasmic mechanisms, fertilization characteristics, and rates of embryonic cleavage and blastocyst development

· Proficient in use of dissecting and fluorescent microscopy and successfully completing assay protocols
